'I should have checked if the room was on 1st or 2nd floor. My husband is disabled and climbing the stairs was very difficult for him. The room was very nice, beautiful view, nice area. Only issue my not checking if it was 1st or 2nd floor.'

'My wife and I were on a trip to an area where I have been going to my entire life. The stay at this establishment was fist rate and all of the staff were very helpful. We will recommend to family and friends.'

'Great spot!'

'Very clean place, you might want to look at the ceiling fans.'

'This historic location was an amazing home base for our girl’s trip to NE Iowa. It’s clean and such a unique place to stay. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of room for the four of us. Our favorite part was people watching from the sun room area, although margaritas on the back patio were a close second. :)'

'The property is a beautiful historic building. It is well appointed and absolutely lovely. The community is charming, and the opportunities for outdoor activities abound. The host was so helpful. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We definitely will stay here again!'

'Great place! Perfect for anyone traveling with a boat.'

'Expected a stove and kitchen sink for the price.'

'Great location in a charming town. The cottage was perfect. So cute and comfy. It was a perfect vibe for a little getaway.'

'The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!'

'Wonderful historic location. Host provided thoughtful extras that we didnt think to bring. Our only suggestion would be if you prefer a softer mattress I would bring a mattress pad.'

'The bathroom could be a little cleaner in the bed, had a hair in it when I pull back the sheets'

'This property is well appointed and has a beautiful view of the river. There were 10 of us staying and we had plenty of room to relax and have privacy. The location is great for fishing, boat rental, and it has a convenience store very near. The train tracks are near which adds to the charm in our opinion. Ear plugs provided worked well. I highly recommend.'
