'We had an excellent trip. River was amazing and we especially liked reading the Legends of the Au Sable book that was left for guests. House had everything we needed including toiletries and extra blankets. Visiting the state park nearby was a highlight. Did not care for the camera in the backyard that I could hear every time I walked by while playing bocci ball. Recommend taking food with since there are only two bars and a dollar general in town. Emily was kind enough to drop off extra kayaks...

'Came up to the area for a weekend of golf at Forest Dunes. The home is beautiful. Everything was well appointed and thought out. Beds are very comfortable and fire pit area was awesome to sit by and enjoy a beverage and talk. The owners were great and made it very easy to work with. I highly recommend this property.'

'Everything was as expected - only basically needed somewhere to sleep after wedding in West Branch. Only had minimal problem with front door lock but able to obtain key as instructed so that was nice to have back up!'

'The house was perfect for a family of four. It’s walking distance to town. Great woods to explore off the back yard. The house was clean and the beds are very comfortable. We would stay again and highly recommend to others.'

'Awesome newly redone property. Easily parked our boat in the drive, close to both Higgins and Houghton Lake. We are avid road cyclists and the location allowed us to take off each morning for 25-40 mile rides on beautiful paved roads. Highly recommend this property. Will definitely reserve property again if we are looking for a rental in this area. '

'Family and friends drove up to spend a long weekend near Higgins Lake. We’ve headed up north for years and have never stayed near Higgins. Beautiful lake! The house is clean and comfortable and a relaxing space for our home base. Great kitchen. We would stay here again. Thank you for sharing it.'
