'Walden was exactly as advertised. We loved the cozy atmosphere and creature comforts. Due to rainy weather we did not get to utilize a lot of the outdoor and riverside amenities but recognized them for being available had the weather cooperated. Derek was very responsive to any needs we had. We loved the screened porch and ate their and enjoyed drinks despite the weather. We are already planning a return visit.'

'The perfect mountain home for a relaxing getaway! The proximity to the Front Royal Entrance to the Shenandoah National Park and the town was a plus! We saw deer (with a baby), rabbits, and tons of beautiful birds on the property.The house is nicely updated with all the amenities one could want. 'The home was perfect for our quick family getaway. It was just as pictured, very clean, and had everything we needed. I think our favorite part of the whole trip was hanging out in the backyard on our last night - the big maple tree provided so much shade in the hot afternoon and the string lights were a nice touch while we made s'mores in the firepit at night. There's a great paved and divided pedestrian trail across the street that was perfect for taking the dog out for a walk in the morning...

'It was a great stay, lovely property with gorgeous views of the surrounding fields, amazing sunset views from the front porch, and not a neighbor in sight. 'We had a nice weekend away at this property: plenty of space for our family of four + our dog. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked for cooking and dining. Cozy space for a long weekend. Only negative was that the hot tub wasn’t working and we weren’t told before arriving that it hadn’t been working for several weeks. Also, be aware that the steps to and from the lake are steep and are not accessible for someone who has trouble walking. The water can be accessed though by driving...
