'We asked for a late check out and even though the hotel was absolutely empty - (we were the only two people at breakfast in a room that could seat 100) the hotel still denied a late checkout (personally I think 11am checkout is too early) so we were charged an extra £20 for a 12pm checkout. When the room costs £500 per night this is totally outrageous. The hotel was empty so it would have been a nice gesture to offer a 1pm checkout given at most high end hotels 12pm is standard. 'It s not 4,5 stars the staf is friendly but the hotel is old. Also the rooms look old. The bed was great but you must shower in the bath. It is a old building and that is what you see in the maintenance'
