'The lady at the front desk was super nice when we checked in, so our first impression was good. And, it could have stayed that way if there wasn't a pile of dirt in both corners by the dresser in our room. Clearly, the room had just been marginally/incompletely swept and never mopped. It just gave us a yuck impression although the sheets seemed clean. The grounds were just weeds and cigarette butts. Stayed around 4th of July so were subject to FOX "news" in the breakfast room telling us...

'We found stuff from someone else's stay under one of the beds, which made me question cleanliness. Also, we were disappointed to find there is no elevator, as we are both disabled.'

'We stayed for two nights. The first night there we had farm fresh eggs, a pear syrup and a package of pancake mix and granola in the fridge for our breakfast in the morning. That day we went and did some other activities and didn't get back until that night. When we got back, we didn't have a second breakfast waiting for us in the fridge for the next day. We left the following morning and found some place for breakfast. Everything was great except for that little piece, but it turned out fine....

'Not recommended to stay here during summer months. The only airflow is from having windows open but there aren’t any screens on them so bugs come in. The house has lots of character but feels unattended to, lots of spider webs and spiders and the bathroom had hair all over the ground and shower. There was also an open area in the bathroom wall which allowed clear visibility from the upstairs looking down into the bathroom (shower entrance) area. That was very uncomfortable and we recommended...

I knew that the cabin didn't have electricity and running water and as advertised had a porta potty for a bathroom.I have lived of grid plenty of times in my life , so that didn't bother me. No call phone service at the cabin - no problem. I didn't receive any check in instructions. When I got there I met other vacationers who stayed at the other cabin on property and asked them where I would check in and they told...

'What a wonderful place. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything! There were so many thoughtful things such as snacks in the fridge and a variety of soaps in the bathroom. The view was beautiful as well.'

'Awesome place, super quiet. Wished it had a small fenced in yard but only a minor inconvenience as I think the owners use the place in the off season. Jason was super pleasant, accommodating and responsive. You won't have a problem here unless you bring it with you.'

'Clean and beds were comfortable. They are using portable heaters so not the warmest but we were not in the cabin much during the day. The view of lake is nice. They forgot to stock extra rolls of toliet paper so we had to go to the lodge to get more. Breakfast is one cereal or instant oatmeal and only available for an hour. The owners were pleasant. They did not respond in the app so you have to call them. '
