'The only reason I booked this hotel is because it's under the Whynham umbrella! The front desk man was very friendly, it all went down hill from there... We got to the room, I found several bugs, not bed bugs! I spilled some ice cube water and cleaned it up with a towel and the towel was filthy afterwards. The floor was sticky. The shower has rust spots, the hand towels and wash cloths looked like they had been used. I used Clorox wipes to wipe down everything because we had just traveled 11...

'Check in was fast and easy at the front counter. She was friendly. Upon entry to our room we immediately noticed the a/c unit wasn’t working properly. We informed front desk and she promptly moved my family and I to a different room down the hall. The a/c in this unit was running, thankfully. However, after walking through 2 of these rooms at this hotel, I can safely say the property is in desperate need of a remodel. Outlets are old. The fan and two light fixtures in our second room did not...

'Although booking through Expedia which assigned me a handicap room, which was not ideal in terms of showering space and subsequent room cleaning and serving, the hotel was fine and I have booked there multiple times in the last year. The front desk staff did not seem very accommodating to my concerns upon check-in but did explain the reason for my limited options due to a full hotel. The housekeeping staff usually replace towels each day and tidy up the bathroom, which did not seem to happen...

'The eye on the TV's that communicate with the remote control are on a cord that sometimes falls back behind the tv and then you can't change the channel.....even manually on the TV. This is something that should be a permanent fix so you don't have guests contacting the front desk all the time when the TV doesn't work. The manager was very helpful.'

'For the price, room was one of the best we've had. Good beds/pillows, clean, basic, but nice. Only downside was no blow dryer, but that was made clear up front. Staff was very friendly and helpful at check in. Will stay here again.'

'All of the pictures listed of the cabins show a small living room and kitchen/kitchenette, so I was shocked when I entered my cabin and there was only one room with two beds immediately entering the door and one very small bathroom. My 12 year old could barely use the toilet because it was tucked between two walls that were very close together. The tv didn’t work and it said if it wouldn’t work to call the front desk, but no one ever answered the phone at the lodge. We tried multiple times....

'This property is gorgeous. I thought I’d really dislike the portopotty but it was relatively clean. Funny enough it was the only place I could get cell reception We brought our 10 year old and he was excited to roam the rolling hills and creek. Next time we’ll be back for a more romantic stay. The air conditioner made it very cool. It was about a 25 minute drive into town. Wish we could have stayed longer!'
