'AVOID!!!!! No one nor any info available at check-in. Hosts supplied email address & mobile number weren’t in service/operational. Hotels.com agents, the hosts management company, Travelnest had the same issue, hence their vetting & monitoring processes are very questionable. Extremely distressing & frustrating experience. Wouldn’t wish the above ‘experience’ on anyone else, AVOID!!!'

'The inn/pub was well attended with nice staff. Our only complaint was that there wasn't any salad option on the menu...not even the old caesar in a bag. As it was a work stay, one can only eat so many meat and chips.'

'Gemakkelijk bereikbaar hotel in Dodworth (Barnsley). Goed ontbijt en vriendelijk personeel. Het bed was niet erg groot, maar dat is slechts de vergelijking met ons eigen bed thuis. ;-)'

'Lovely grounds and rooms. There was a wedding on which was fine aoart from some noise latecat night. The staff were great and very helpful. Tasty meal in the restaurant too'

'I’ve stayed here many times. Rooms are clean, tidy and well looked after. The TV is very small though, so if you want to watch something, it could be a bit of a challenge. The hotel is in a safe countryside area. I like that there’s nothing else around, but others might prefer more nearby. Hot fresh breakfast is good, but the coffee isn’t great. I’d like to see more fruit and yoghurt options as I don’t eat a full breakfast. I’ll happily stay again. '

'Lovely place, perfect for our 1 night stay with beautiful views. Great food, very friendly staff who were so lovely and comfortable room. A 5 min drive into Holmfirth. We'll definitely be back. '
