'Loved the location and beach. House was a typical bach. Great wood fire. Everything there you need plus great books and games. Didnt use garage or sleep out.'

'We had a lovely stay in Porongahau. Katrina’s place was great for us to chill and take in the fresh country air, with visits from Tank the friendly dog and a lovely horse to pat. The Bach is very rustic, with an attached compost toilet and a gas heated hose for a shower, which added to the adventure and country charm! Katrina was a great host and very friendly.One thing that the place would benefit from is some curtains. Other than that - it was a great stay :)'

'We have a brother who lives nearby and we were excited when we found the lodge as we are a large whānau. The property was absolutely outstanding. So many different spaces to hang out in, shelter from the rain and wind, outdoor firepit space, and huge lounge area. So many options. Close to the beach and river but also lots to do right there on the lake. Our kids loved kayaking everyday and the kitchen was well stocked so we could prepare big meals (BBQ was great too). Just so many great things...
