'Leuk hotel met veel historische details. Kamers zijn voorzien van alle gemakken, maar de kleine (goedkope) kamers zijn wel krap bemeten. Supermarkt en meerdere restaurants van fastfood tot Thais binnen 100 meter lopen!'

'Fantastic view even though it rained and at times the sea entrance was misty it was still fascinating. Dinner was superb with the most delicious seafood chowder served. A special treat was being next to a family group who sang beautifully and a man in the group played the guitar. Thank you Omapere Sands, a very enjoyable night's stay. 'We stayed for 1 night only in early October. The 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and tidy, as was the lounge area. There was ample parking in the basement area. The walk to the township of Paihia was along the sea-shore and was very pleasant, and close to the ferry terminal where we caught the ferry to Russell.'

'Ik verwacht bij hotels.com minimaal een kamer te boeken. Niet een plek op een camping . Een cabin op een camping zonder toilet voorzieningen. 5 Minuten lopen voor een douche waar je ook nog voor moet betalen. Een stinkende hut waarin je moet slapen, rijdende auto`s, blaffende honden die je wakker houden. Hotels.com, schaam je dat je zoiets durft aan te bieden op een Hotel site. En dat voor 80 euro per nacht.'
