'Amazing location, scenery and views! The area around the hotel is beautiful, and so many things to see within easy walking and driving distance. The on-site Onsens were also great! Parts of the property are getting old and worn, but otherwise clean and well kept. The included buffet breakfasts and dinners were an unexpected bonus!'

However, the tempurature in the room was too warm and I wasn't able to get the AC working so I had to leave a window slightly open to cool down. This might be because the hotel is in the mountains, so there was a big difference in outdoor and indoor tempurature that I didn't adjust to. 'Ok, when we first arrived we were a little worried. The hotel is old and the room was a little tight with 4 sleeping mats on the floor BUT by the end of our 3 night stay we really enjoyed our stay. 'Small bed and breakfast middle in the fields of Biei. Very nice owners. The rooms are basic and clean. We had to share the bathroom. Breakfast is excellent. Be aware that Biei is a very small town and has very few restaurants open for diner.'

'The unit is spacious and very clean, and worth the extra drive if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay. Note, though, that although the loft can sleep several people, the ceiling is only about four feet high and hitting your head can be a problem! Also, there is no coffee, tea or and condiments provided so be sure to bring your own. The check in was a problem for us, ensure you can make a Japan phone call if needed which we did.'
