'Perfect location for 2 people visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Staying this close made it easy to get to the park to see the latest eruption. The garden on site is beautiful. Some other reviews complained about not having hot water, the host clearly states it takes a while, so just give it time. And yes we saw a spider, took two seconds to remedy that. It's in the middle of a rainforest which is beautiful, but if you want to be in nature, you might just see nature. So don't let those...

'All in all, a lovely stay in a peaceful setting. Bit strange description of the "grumpy neighbor"; we did not see him so no comments from our side. The house was clean and fully equipped. In the dark this house is difficult to find though. Hike to the lava cliffs is very nice though!'

'We loved this property! So relaxing nestled in the rain forest! House was beautiful and one of the cleanest we’ve seen. Very well taken care of. We loved the hot tub nestled in the trees. This place is only 10 mins from volcano viewing which was so convenient. A few restaurants and a store close by. We loved the farmers market on Saturday. '

'What a unique place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed this location. It is a very private location in the middle of dense vegitation. We slept so well here listening to the sounds of the forest. The location makes for a great base to explore Volcanoes NP.'

'What a special place! We enjoyed our stay so much and found the location to be very peaceful. Sue is an outstanding host, responsive, friendly and very helpful with answering questions and providing information. Each morning I walked to the nearby cafe for coffee, then across the street to the bench overlooking the ocean. My son and I enjoyed each having our own space and being able to make meals in the kitchen. The breeze throughout the house was wonderful and we spent most of our time there...

'The house is just like photos. Our family of 6 had plenty of room. Well equipped kitchen, every room has its own individual patio with sitting area (even the little one)the pool and hot tub next to the ocean made it really amazing. Definitely 5 stars!'

'Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay. '
