'Very pretty and had all we needed for self catering. Maybe a baking sheet, smaller saucepan and a baking dish would have been useful - not a big deal!Lovely to be next to the beck, loads of birds to watch and interesting places to visit.Drive from The Tan Inn to Hawes not for the faint hearted, narrow and very steep.Noticed a funny mark in the oven which I couldn't clean so emailed the office and someone came the next day to clean it - excellent. 'Beautiful well equipped cottage with beautiful views of the dales, with more than enough space for two adults. From the front door you can take several beautiful walks, or enjoy nature and birds from the garden.'

'The location and park is beautiful with very nice views of the dales. The accommodation is well equipped, clean and modern. The hot tub was great for relaxing in after a long walk. Owner are very nice and helpful, I would recommend this property and hope to stay again.'

'This was a fantastic cottage with all the mod cons and incredibly clean, lovely beds and towels and biscuits and milk left for us also.We did think there would be a back garden with grass as we had taken our little dog with us but there was'nt. My husband did find a very large field with right of way about 2 mins walk away so little dog loved it so not so much of a problem. '

'Wij verbleven voor de tweede keer in deze super engelse cottage. Het staat op een perfecte locatie in het midden van het dorp Hawes. Alle shops en pubs binnen handbereik. Hawes is een ideaal startpunt om de Dales te verkennen. De cottage is zeer compleet en superschoon. Het voelt als een home away from home. Denk wel om alle trappen, hierdoor niet voor iedereen geschikt.'

'right up our street , the landlady is brilliant and wish i got to now her better . and we will go back for another visit ,but have to stay a bit longer. brilliant for walking ,plenty of info inside comfy cottage, felt compleetly chilled when we left and looking forwards to another visit .'

'Fantastic find. Lovely views. We were blessed with new born lambs to watch. It's quiet apart from a variety of bird song, lovely. Each pod is labelled and has a discrete fencing/ stone wall for privacy. The hut itself was clean and in great condition and a good temperature. Perfect size for a couple. There is a double sofa bed for 2 more, but that would be extremely cosy. Kitchen area is fine for self catering. Don't bring too much as the fridge is small, but it does have a tiny ice box for ice...

'What a great find. We needed a place that was big enough to accommodate all our family and this did not disappoint. Spacious rooms, fabulous garden and brilliant location. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was catered for. The house was spotlessly clean. We all loved it and looking forward to booking again for next year. '

'We loved our stay at this house. Our children felt like they were living in a castle and had so much fun pretending to be princesses. There were 6 adults and 4 kids total in our group and this house was the perfect size to accommodate all of us. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed relaxing and having family dinners at the big table. The owners were very kind as well. Thank you for having us!'

'3 adults staying for a short break. Comfy beds, everything we needed (dishwasher would have been great but no idea where it could have fitted in). It’s a compact cottage but we didn’t feel we were getting in easy other’s way. The location was so good as we looked out over the castle and it was only a short walk to several good pubs -we had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Tack Room and staff were so friendly -plus great beer-in the Richard 111 pub.
