'Fraai gerenoveerd hotel in het centrum van Rye. De renovatie is met veel smaak gedaan : stijlkenmerken zijn behouden aankleding prima. Zeer vriendelijk personeel schone kamers .Helaas geen parkeergelegenheid.'

'Prachtig pittoresk hotel in het mooie Rye. Bij aankomst was onze kamersleutel zoek, op de kamer hingen vieze handdoeken. Wijnglas bij de lunch was vies. Het eten (zowel luch als diner) was slecht, niet vers, niet smakelijk. De bediening was ok maar leek toch wel veel op een slechte toneeluitvoering. Ontbijt was overigens prima. Al met al een hele slechte prijs/kwaliteitverhouding. Een nacht, luch en diner voor twee ca. 400 BP. '

'This is a nice hotel in a truly spectaculair situation. And what a vieuw! If you’re looking for luxury and large rooms this is not for you. But it is in a building with character and charm. Nice room and bathroom, clean, good bed and pillows and a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Carpets on the floor, not my favorite in any hotel, not hygiënic. For eldery people the roads are steep and slippery (cobblestones). No parking. Rye is truly charming, well worth a visit! '

'Aangenaam dankzij personeel maar hoognodig aan vernieuwing toe. Oud zoals helaas veel hotels in deze klasse in Engeland. Ligging prachtig, restaurant redelijk goed. Ontbijt uitstekend, maar het mag echt wat meer aangepast worden aan deze tijd'

'Despite an excellent location just next to the entrance to the cathedral, this hotel is another of those run-down, bleak firetraps from way back in the last century. You know it's old as soon as you climb the narrow stairs to the tiny reception area and notice the grimy carpet and chipped woodwork. Getting to your room involves climbing meandering stairs that go one way, up another short flight of stairs, and then still in another direction. (There is no lift.) My room had a nice bed but little...
