'Please be aware that you need to upload a passport online to a third party company for every person over 16 that is staying at the property. We were not aware of this until after the free cancellation period was over. There is no mention in the listing or confirmation that the passport would be the only document accepted. We were uncomfortable doing this with all the online identity theft that is prevalent today.
The communication with the property was poor. We messaged several times through...

'A pleasant spacious ground floor flat with parking right outside in a quiet location . Very comfortable lounge, lovely new walk-in shower. Kitchen a bit basic. Would have preferred a summer weight duvet instead of 13.5 tog winter one provided in height of summer! However, happy to stay there again.'

'We left after just 4 hours because the property was nothing like the listing. The photos give a far better impression than the reality.
Before arrival, I had to chase the host for check-in instructions as nothing had been sent. Even after calling, I was only given the key safe code. Later that day, after we’d already left, I received an email stating there was a £100 charge per pet, despite the Hotels.com listing clearly advertising “pets go free.”
The property appeared to have had only...

'Wonderful stay. Clean and with all the amenities you need. Great location. Privacy. Lovely pub with great food, super friendly. Had a small issue so we called Jonny who answered on the 2nd ring, talked us through the solution, and then gave us some tips on things to do. Great service. Highly recommend and we’ll be back in the autumn.'

'The house was nice and tidy, but a sort of curtain for the skylight in the second bedroom would be good.
There was a bit of a problem with the parking. We parked backwards and because of the little ramp, the bottom of the car touched the ground. It wasn't damaged, but still.
Otherwise this was a good stay.'

Heerlijk hotel!
Eelco
