'We had an amazing stay at The Gate, they even gave us a free upgrade! However, the staff (besides the manager) is very distant. When you’re in the lobby they have the most fun amongst themselves but they ignore the guest. We used The Gate for our 1 week holiday in the city and from that you’re pretty close to anything. 'Our stay here was absolutely brilliant. We arrived at 7 A.M. and we were able to check straight in which was so appreciated after a long night of travel. We also were able to store our luggage all day to get an extra day of exploring in. Fantastic amenities and room a big plus was the fan over the bed. Overall would definitely stay again'

'This hotel was in a great area for siteseeing, restaurants, & bars. We chose it because of the in-room clothes washer/dryer but it was a great location too! There’s a tube station just a few minutes walk away, & having the Tower of London across the street was nice. We also had quite a few other site seeing possibilities within walking distance. (I recommend booking a tour of the Billingsgate Roman Baths!) The staff was very helpful & patient with us Americans who were confused by a few things...

"Prachtig uitzicht op de Tower Bridge zoals omschreven was. We kregen wat we bestelden. Dat is heel belangrijk. De staat van onderhoud is slecht, maar renovatie is opgestart. Dat is hard nodig. Alles was wel schoon. De view op de brug was magisch.. Ontbijt was prima. Uiteraard Engels ontbijt en nog wat andere zaken daarnaast. Ik zou het hotel wel aanraden, maar voor 1 of 2 nachten."

"We had the Superior Room with Kingsize Bed and it was fantastic! Free minibar, bathroom with floor heating and very spacious. Personel was friendly and accomodating. Victoria station is busy which has it's advantages and downsides. The only thing which was unpleasant was the amount of homeless people in and around the station. I hope London finds a way to help them. Overall a great hotel and lovely experience, I would really recommend this hotel."
