'Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. '

'The chalets are located around a lake with ducks and swans. Nice house with 2 bedrooms, a good sofabed, two badrooms and a complete kitchen. Very helpful reception. Sorry that we only booked one night. We will return!'

'Really lovely stay. The room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and well kept, with a modern bathroom. The spa was excellent, and it was especially nice to relax in the hot tub overlooking the mountains. Breakfast had a great range of options, including a hot breakfast and continental selection, and the food was excellent. Would definitely stay again. The only slight downside was the £10 parking charge, although I appreciate parking in the area is limited.'

'Na 13 jaar weer opnieuw naar dit hotel gegaan. Voor de zekerheid een superior kamer geboekt. Volgens de website van het hotel krijg je dan zicht op de tuin of omliggend bos. Bij onze kamer was dat de parkeerplaats. De kamer was op zicht prachtig, ruim en goed ingericht. Alleen bleken de muren in dit annex-gedeelte van het gebouw wel erg. 'Front Reception was excellent! From that point on everything went down hill. A very run down room with a dirty window looking over the car park. Threadbare carpet and frayed edges of the mattress hanging down. Dated decor and a less than pristine bathroom with a disgusting non slip mat! Really! Loud music played in the breakfast room.
