'Service was absolutely brilliant from all of the team and all webt above a d beyond to make our stay such a great experience. Cleanliness was spot on and the rooms are so spacious and decorated to such a high standard too. Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice too..well worth booking again thankyou to all staff 😀 '

'We spend 3 nights at the hotel and were welcomed & assisted by lovely staff - many thanks to Alan at the bar and restaurant and Vali at the reception, to name a couple. We haven't met an unfriendly member of staff. The food was great, our room was nice and clean with comfy bed, the place seems very well organised and we also enjoyed the pool. It would have been great to have a wall clock in the pool so one knows when there is time to leave but that's a detail. Thank you for being so kind to us...

'The hotel is old & a bit tired in places, but comfortable. Beds are comfy. Our room on the first floor was well ventilated, but the attic rooms are less so. A car is required unless you’re a good walker as it’s 1.5 miles from Bowness.'

'The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. '
