'Location location location if spending time at the amusement park. Otherwise, rooms and hotel are very dated. Our hairdryer was broken and it took 4 calls to get a replacement. Everything is so convenient (restaurants, park etc) so we would come again if it weren’t for the 5+ hour drive'

'We’ve been coming to Cedar Point for many years. We wish we would have chosen South Shore Inn much sooner. We had a PERFECT two-night stay with them recently and will now use them as our first choice for lodging in Sandusky. Everything exceeded our expectations: immaculate rooms, comfortable beds, good food selection for breakfast, easy access with ample parking, friendly and helpful staff, well maintained property. 'Super friendly, lovely staff who went above and beyond to help and make us feel welcome. We loved the pool and the pancake maker was amazing. The rest of the food for breakfast was not anything to write home about, but enough to keep everyone happy. The kids loved the pool. They also put in the effort to have bed bug covers on, which is a big deal to someone who has previously gotten bed bugs from hotels in the past. We loved it here. Thanks for a great time!'

'I’ve used truckstop bathrooms that were cleaner in the bathroom that we had in our room! That’s not even the worst part, the carpets need to be desperately changed. The entire room smelled of urine. It was difficult for us to even stay in the room. I would’ve left immediately but the entire town of Sandusky had been booked up. I will never say this hotel ever again. I am warning all of those who look for cleanliness, this is not the place.'

'I really liked how I had three beds and the setup of the room was lovely. The only thing they could better is how they clean the rooms. I didn’t smell any bleach at all. The room smelled like old people and urine.'

'The bathtub in my room was disgusting. I left to get some Comet and clean it myself. I scrubbed for about 15 minutes before I got it to a place where I could consider taking g a shower, but it still needed further cleaning. Absolutely filthy. To be fair, I didn't even try the breakfast as I didn't trust the facilities to be clean after seeing the tub. The dirt I scraped off the tub turned to mud. It's obvious no one is checking the cleaning of the staff. I stay in about 12 different...

'I liked hotel´s location. It has everything you need for a few days stay. The hotel has laundry facilities, an indoor and outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, and sauna. The area was clean, and clean towels were available. The was ample, well-lit parking and a continental breakfast. The room had air conditioning, and the staff was attentive.'

'My issue with the hotel is it stated it could sleep 6, but could only sleep 5 uncomfortably at most. I had to check out immediately and go to the Holiday Inn next door. It felt reasonable to be given some sort of refund but I have received no response to multiple outreaches since the person at the desk was unable to help me since the owner was the only one who could. The room would have been fine for my wife and I, but I had four kids with me.'
