'The lodge is in a beautiful setting, the rooms were clean and with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The staff are friendly and helpful. The local area is not particularly good, but a short tuk-tuk ride will take you into central Bahir Dar.'

'Employs were the key to making this anew excellent stay. Especially Zacharias the bellman/luggage porter....he was professional and very helpful. Tesfa, the rep from the restaurant was great as well. Rooms were clean, wellness center amazing but I would give the food a C-.'

'We loved Afro Addis so much the first time we stayed there that it was the first place we booked on our second trip to Ethiopia. "After a wonderful one week stay at El Sol Hotel back in February 2025, we were very thankful to return to this lovely local hotel in Addis. Booking our trip to Madagascar meant we had to change flights in Addis and we figured: why not do a 2-day stopover in this Great city and visit some friends? It felt really amazing to be back at El Sol, with the very dedicated team, all very kind people. It felt like returning home. We hope to be able to come back in the future for a third stay!
