'The apartment is very comfortable with all you need. Well presented and spotlessly clean throughout. Within a minutes walk from Pittenweem harbour, with parking on the street outside. The terrace looking straight out to sea and the Isle of May is wonderful and we enjoyed drinks in the sunshine as we were fortunate with the weather for the end of April. 'Location of Bothwell Court is fantastic. In St Leonards down the road from the supermarket and train station. Dunfermline town centre a short stroll away too. 'First time in Pittenweem. The flat was small but we didn’t need anything bigger. Space had been used carefully and was well furnished. When the wood burning stove got going it made for a cosy experience. Pleasant seafront area nearby and Anstruther is only half a mile or so away. St. Andrews is about 20 minutes by car. Well worth a short visit (three nights for us).'

We prefer the self catering rather than the bed and breakfast type places because we are jet lagged and tend to sleep in. We also don’t eat a large breakfast. 'We needed a place to stay to bring us closer to Edinburgh for an afternoon train after spending a week in Ayr. Edinburgh was looking pretty pricey so we opted to find something out of town to save some money. This space did not disappoint! 'Accommodation was perfect, roomy, cosy and welcoming right on Cellardyke harbour with beautiful views. A little beach right across the road and park around the corner perfect for our 8 year old daughter. Comfy, cosy beds and spacious lounge with fire stick so great for watching family movies at night. 'Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.'
