'I really enjoyed staying at the Owl Getaway and didn't want to leave when my time was up. It was a perfect little place to get away: Secluded and quiet (except for being able to hear traffic on the road above - though it doesn't get a lot of traffic). The screened-in porch among the trees is great! The listing is literal when it says "shower only" for the bathroom: It not only means no tub, but that the sink is in the kitchen. I'll also say that I did drink the tap water, too, in case anyone is...

'The location of this cabin was so ideal for our group. We had kids ranging in ages 7-14, and the large property allowed for them to wander without us worrying about their safety. The large creek out back was deep enough to cool off on the 100 days, too! The bunk beds were a little larger than twin size, just for anyone wondering… perfect for when kids need to crawl into bed with a parent. The kitchen was fully equipped with all we needed.We really enjoyed our stay here!'

'My husband and I visited for our anniversary. The cabin is lovely - beautifully renovated, thoughtfully outfitted, and situated in a lovely forested setting. The king-sized bed was the most comfortable bed that I have slept on away from home. The hot tub uses a saltwater system which is so much more pleasant than the usual chlorine/bromine systems found in most hot tubs...easier on the skin and respiratory system. We were very pleased with our experience and definitely plan to return to this...

'We had a great time in West Virginia and the Chalet. The properry was well maintained and the host was very proactive with checking in to see if we arrived and got inside without incident, and to see if we needed anythjng. '

'Cabin was lovely in a secluded spot. Close to Cacapon park hiking, horseback riding, and shotgun shooting. Also Morgan County Observatory was close. Of course Berkley Speings was nice too! Rounded out each day in the hot tub!'

'As a teacher, I needed something to look forward to for the end of my school year. This year I decided that a week away from the routines of my day-to-day life were in order; I've had an in-progress bit of writing collecting digital dust for longer than I'd like to admit.What I needed? Fresh air, a quiet property, and a natural setting in which I could take short strolls. Spotting wildlife, especially the local birds, in their natural habit would definitely be a plus! Anything to get my writing...

'This property was really lovely. Not too far from town and its shops and restaurants, but very private at the cabin. My partner and I were looking to get out of the city and away from people for a few ways, and this was perfect! The bed is comfortable, the kitchen well outfitted, and the out door spaces (hot tub, porch and fire pit) were very nice. The host provided all the information we needed to have a successful trip.'

'This was hands-down our favorite mountain stay in PA! Bruce has done such a nice job with the treehouse. It envelopes you in peace and tranquility to allow your stress to drift its way down the river. We look forward to returning to fish off the dock, take a canoe or kayak out for an adventure, grill on the deck overlooking the river, make s’mores around the campfire and just relax in the hot tub. Look no further than this place especially for a romantic couples retreat. Bruce could not have...

'We stayed for a weekend getaway with our family. Kids loved the house. It was clean and the A/C blew cold during this 90 degree heat wave we had. Had a lot of amenities. Basically anything you would need. We had a small issue while we were staying and Paul quickly rectified it. We couldnt have asked for a better place to stay! '

'Quick getaway for family. Cabin was excellent, beds very comfortable, wood floors, 2 br, 2 bath perfect for our group. Nice jacouzi in master br upstairs. Ramp to front door, perfect for our elderly dog. Only thing the kids didn’t like was no internet at the cabin - would have to go to the spa to have internet. Sliding glass door to balcony with chairs was a plus.'

'The house was just as described in the listing. Kyle was very responsive before and during our stay. It was nice being on the river so we could fish and kayak. The grandkids loved the game room as well as the bedroom lofts. There was plenty of room for us to spread out on the enclosed porch and deck.
