'Based on the rating we had a higher expectation. Hospitality is not sincere, limited English and hotel was focused on high volume instead of cusomized service. During our stay of 3 nights we had about 50 plus schoolchildren making music untill 3 at night and running over the corridors smashing doors. Between 6 and 7 cleaning started making noise and at 8am waking you up allready asking to clean room. The breakfast area felt like Eurodisney. To summarize, more a hostal then a hotel. When you...

One pleasant surprise was that the cruise included a shore excursion, which I wasn’t expecting and really enjoyed. The only downside is that the ship is showing its age. While it is well maintained, it doesn’t have the feel of a brand-new luxury cruise. That said, the outstanding service and overall experience more than made up for it....

'We loved our stay in Cat Ba! Linda was an amazing host and the staff were so helpful. We had the most delicious hot pot there one evening. Linda helped us with all our planning. It had a quaint garden with puppies running around, and monkeys howling in the distance. A/C worked and our daughter swam in the pool at night. Would recommend if looking for a homestay in the area!'
