'Wow, what an experience. When we pulled up into the camp, there was an elephant just there (a tusker no less). The standards were consistently high from there. We were well looked after by the manager Ravi, with impeccable service throughout. My wife's gluten free requirement being well looked after. The views are stunning, the food was great. 'A special place close to Yala that makes you feel like you’re in the park. Small staff was so friendly and lovely, and I felt well taken care of. Delicious meals—often candlelit and with an outdoor grill. Room was air conditioned and well appointed, despite the jungle setting. Only caution: there probably will be some wildlife in your bathroom! They also organized my safaris in the park, as well as pick ups and drop-offs, which I appreciated.'

'Eine wirklich wunderschöne Oase direkt am Strand. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll gestaltet und das Hotelpersonal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bisher unsere beste Erfahrung in ganz Sri Lanka, es hat wirklich viel Spaß gemacht und es wurde auf unsere individuellen Wünsche eingegangen. 'The tents are a bit old, but OK. The camp looks super nice in the evening, the have petroleum lights everywhere and a fire. Staff always tries to help you and the food is really good. One big downside. There is a hotel next to the camp. During the safari they arranged for us we had a great guide and spotted two leopards! They play very loud music whenever they want. Our last night from 23:30 untill 05:00, so we hardly could sleep. I called the manager but he could not stop the music...'

One day before arrival in the hotel, we received an email, saying that due a maintenance issue our booking had to be relocated to another hotel, which would provide the same level of service. 'Absolutely beautiful property. Right on the beach with easy access. Hanuman langur monkeys were right outside the room. They were so cute! Room had poor lighting, but everything else was perfect! Hotel next door has a superb buffet- best i have ever eaten in terms of variety! Access road was bad and there was no place for our driver to stay so he had to find his own lodging.'
