'We agree - what a view! We got the main house and it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owner was helpful and checking couldn’t have been easier. We recommend this location in Cheticamp after walking the Skyline Trail.'

'The place was nice and clean and the beach was just at the bottom of the hill …..just a short distance, but the sunsets were spectacular. I would definitely go back. Not much choice for restaurants near by, but Cheticamp was only 20 minutes away.'

'This was certainly not what we expected. It was like time traveling back to the 1950’s: no tv in the room, the floors were warped, the bathroom door didn’t close properly, all the room decor was very, very old. Some of the cabins, including ours, had tarps on the roofs. The cabin next to ours had a burned roof. Jack and Jim, the managers, were very friendly and pleasant to talk to and the living room evening entertainment (Celtic/folk musician) are the only things that made this an interesting...

'Erg aan de prijs voor het gebodene: TV werkte matig, geen koelkast op de kamer. Het ontbijt is van 7 tot 10, maar dat was men vergeten te melden. Om 10:05 was alles opgeruimd en er niks eetbaars meer te krijgen. Het diner was duur en niks bijzonders er was weinig keus. Ik rekende 220 euro af voor verblijf en diner zonder ontbijt en dat is absoluut niet in verhouding met hetgeen geboden wordt.'

'Slaapgedeelte was prima, wel gehorig. Badkamer was niet schoon, hoeken ed waren vies en er was geen spiegel. Wel waren er nog restanten van lijm waar spiegel had gezeten had. Met inchecken moet je bellen. Het duurde een tijdje voordat eigenaar bereikbaar was. Als je dan zonder bereik bij een verlaten hotel staat, is dat niet zo fijn.'

'The property looks worn from the outside like many motels/inns but the inside was spotless, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, spacious, the air conditioner/heater worked well, ample parking. The lady at the office was pleasant and very accommodating when I asked both nights for ice. I’d recommend and wouldn’t hesitate staying here again.'

'Great, safe, and quiet campground. The self-check-in and check-out process was very convenient, with no need to meet any staff members, who could be reached by the provided phone number. Inside the trailer, everything was very clean and well maintained.'

'Great quiet location for any camping. This portion of the island was without power so did not have access to everything the property had to offer but this was no fault of anyone and it’s camping it was nice to enjoy the outdoors'

'Very clean room and friendly staff. Only complaint is that I could hear some animals crawl within the wall once every half an hour very clearly, to a point where I thought there’s a mouse or squirrel in the pod. It does make resting a lot harder.'

Everything was fabulous, the environment, the hospitality of Hermann and Ruth, the riverpool, our lodges and the excellent food (breakfast and dinner). We were sad we had to leave after two nights.
