'Great staff from front desk to housekeeping and especially from maintenance. Front desk let us store some pizzas in their freezer overnight. Maid was very nice. Maintenance man stay over to fix our A/C. Put in new unit in no time flat. I felt bad for him as he was called back in at least 2 times more to fix something. He was very pleasant about it. I don’t think I would have been. Looking forward to our next stay in a few months. Hot tub was great. I wish the pool was heated. A bit chilly. 😁'

'Retro Motel with UP North decor. Owners very nice. Room was clean with a nice view of lake. Quick sleep with early departure. Easy access to Hwy 2. Modern food/grocery store very close. Gas station in town opens @4am so coffee & donuts are available.'

'Very cute and cozy cabins. Simple. Had all the basics you could need for a weekend trip. We came out of season for some winter hiking and the waterfalls nearby. The guide in the room was informational about where things were and what we could do.'

'Booked this house for a short weekend in the Northwoods to do some snowmobiling with friends. Great location very clean property. Dale was a great guy that owns the property very accommodating. Will definitely be back next year.'

'Republic is pretty much in the middle of the U.P. so everything is a 45 min drive and up for sight seeing, which made it great for what my wife and I planned. Be advised the cell coverage in most of the U.P. is not good.This property is nice and private with a gate at the end of the driveway. The owners Ken and Sara are awesome with communication, they get back to you with great information and a quick response. Will definitely consider this again for future stays. Dan and Melissa'

'Cozy place. Hyper clean. Location couldn’t be better for town access. Our host made everything easy to navigate. House rules were simple an, made for an easy stay. We stay up here several times a year for all activities. Usually with friends. Sometimes it’s just nice to have your own space. The Lighthouse is perfect for that. We’ll definitely stay here again. Looking forward to the upstairs project so, we can bring our whole clan!'

'This 5-hr drive from Chicago made for a very relaxing week away from the city for our family. We made great use of a ready supply of firewood and enjoyed several evenings in the hot tub/pool spa under the stars. The cabin is very well appointed; it’s new construction and reflects thoughtful design and upkeep throughout. We certainly hope to return.'

'The property was clean and as described. 4 full beds is nice for my family if 5. Owner was quick to respond, manager was once his cell was shared. Had an issue with the fridge not working and they were quick to make it right but it was cold outside so it wasn’t necessary. Just want to make sure it gets fixed for the next person. '
