'Great bed, room okay, but no elevator, bad breakfast and we paid a lot of money. value for money is not good!!!'

'Our room had no WiFi reception or cell reception because we were in the basement. The room was nice, the bathroom needed work looks like they just caulked and poorly and the tub didn’t really drain. Toilet could barely flush just paper. Breakfast was nice, staff was nice.'

'Everything was very good about the property. Excellent bed and shower. It would have been a 5 star property with a few improvements. The breakfast was very bland and overcooked. The workout room didn’t have towels and the staff were smoking near the entrances to the pool. Very disgusting.'

'We had a wonderful stay! The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn the history of the house, especially since the were so into the history. Donnie is an excellent chef and made a wonderful breakfast for us. We were only there for one night since we were visiting our son and he only had one day off. We would definitely recommend as a place to stay for one night, or much longer. Charles Town was a cool place to visit and there are several towns around with fun downtown...

'Door keys never work, have to go to the office. Every time you leave your room and go back in. Because the keys homework, they say, that's because you put them by your phone, which is not true. Last time I stayed here, I had to go to the front every day and get them to let me in, because the key thing wouldn't work on the door there was a box in the room. Shower was terrible when we wouldn't drain. Soaps coming around the edge of it. It's just horrible. I will never stay there again.'

'Unfortunately, our room smelled like an ashtray & I'd asked for a non-smoking room. The was no shower curtain, There was hair from the previous people all over the bedspread and shower. The hairdryer did not work. The towels were stained & frayed. There were people that seemed to be junkies arguing during the evening a few rooms away. Not an ideal stay.'

'It was a very unique property that was rustic on the outside and a comfortable cottage on the inside. The owners were concerned for your enjoyment during the stay but not overbearing. Definitely will return here.'

'The posting warns about low ceilings and insects. I'm 6'1" and did fine, just watched my head on the step. I did see one spider, but otherwise very clean and not buggy. My only other criticism is there is one small trash can in the kitchen area and not the bathroom. Very cute and very comfortable, especially for just one night. My wife complimented it multiple times during our short time there.'
