'Description accurate! Huge, spacious; tons of room (and rooms!)! Family loved it…we each had our own room:) Pool was great; hot tub relaxing. Could use a bit of updating; but, had a great time! Worth it!'

'This place is extremely impressive and was clearly made for parties. We stayed 4 nights for a 50th birthday with a mix of 12-14 friends, relatives and kids. The main house is very nice, clean, and air conditioned, and was perfect to allow kids and people wanting to go to bed earlier to get a great nights sleep and be happy. 'This is the first time a host has made me feel unwelcome and unsafe. She insisted that we send a copy of the government-issued photo ID for every adult staying in the house, with no care about possible identity theft. She acknowledged that the VRBO platform isn't great for that and told us to text a random number with those instead. 'Staying in the Round Lake Beach area to visiting family. Room is great and clean. Pretty view of Fox Lake. Only draw back is it is over a bar. Karaoke comes right up through the floor. Not to much of a problem as the bar closes at 11:00. So just have to suffer through the drunken super star want a be singers. It is good for some laughs. Over all I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. '

'My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!'

'This place is a great hidden gem- both the cabin and the lake!- and Phillip is a great host with an orderly operation. Easy check-in and instructions were clear. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and central AC works great. The side patio was nice for grilling and dining outdoors. 'Clean, fully equipped with sporting/recreational stuff, loads of bedrooms and bathrooms. The only real negative is that almost all the bathrooms are attached to bedrooms. Pickle ball, basketball, cornhole, volleyball, pool table, kayaks, all great. Perfect for a large group.'

The beds could be slightly more comfortable but would stay here again for the quality of the home, well-stoked coffee station and neighborhood. 'We brought our boat to the chain o lakes with family. This house was perfect for us. We were able to use the fire pit and gas grill. The house was on the water so we were able to have access to the boat the entire stay. There is a restaurant next door to the house as well. Very quiet neighborhood too. Will stay here again!!'
