'I recently stayed at the Novotel City Centre for work, and both the hotel and its location were excellent. Unfortunately, I was overcharged by a taxi driver upon arrival at the airport, who demanded 40,000 KZT for a ride that should have cost only 10,000 KZT. However, a member of the hotel staff, Adil, went above and beyond to assist me. 'The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...
