'You have to book in at another site across the road, but a sign indicating this is hidden by parked cars, making it confusing. The room was small but clean, the bed was a double, but the mattress was squeekey and uncomfortable. The price was low compared to other properties in Kenora, so I guess we received what we paid for. '

'I wasn’t sure what to expect but this place was great. We have two dogs with us and it was easy to get them in and out of the room and there are great places to walk them. The room was really clean and spacious. It had everything we needed. Highly recommend. '

'Room was very clean and comfortable to relax in after a long drive into Dryden. Check in was straightforward and staff were efficient and friendly. We really enjoyed staying in our room Breakfast was included for the next day at the restaurant. The food and service at the restaurant was decent.'

'Very cozy place to stay. The owners have clearly been operating for quite awhile and know how to make sure guests have everything they'll need up front (check-in access, wifi, washrooms, bedding etc.)Was straight forward and exactly what I expected. The hot water in the communal shower was marked as not working which wasn't a big deal for us since we were just doing a short stay but for a longer stay that'd probably be a consideration.'

'My friend and I stayed in one of the tiny cabins this past summer and it was such a cozy stay! They have a little farm on site, which was fun to go look at. It’s a 3-5 minute walk down a trail to the lake, where you can go for a swim, a kayak ride (they had some to use), or float around on floaties for the afternoon. The bathroom house was really clean and lovely to use. The communal fire pit area is beautiful as well. 10/10 stay and will be booking for next summer as well! '

'Staying in a cottage on a lake was a real treat compared to the usual highway hotels and motels. A nice deck for happy hour and there is a full kitchen and it was so nice to have a real oven to cook our take-and-bake pizza. We had trouble connecting to WiFi but the friendly host helped us out. The only complaint I have is that the shower head is mounted too high and cannot be adjusted. '

'Great space, nice and secluded. Was a great place to spend the night. Train tracks are really close, but it didn’t bother us. My son likes the chicken coop.'

'We were really grateful that the owner, Ed does single night rentals; although we would have loved to stay longer. Also, it is off grid, but with solar power. Biggest thing we were concerned about was my husband’s CPAP machine having enough power. There was no issues at all!! Quiet, remote and picturesque! '

'Don’t expect the Ritz, or contemporary amenities or design. The motel might look like nothing much, but it is actually a very comfortable place to spend a night. It is clean, the shower is nice, the bed is very comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave…all you need. Would definitely recommend!'
