'This was a complete mess. To start, they forgot about our reservation and had to put us in a temporary room for two days. During this time, there was a blackout that no one thought to update us on. Honestly, that temporary room was the best part of the stay. Our official room had a roach infestation and, when I told the host, he had a fumigation company come and spray while our bags were in there (of course, this ended up with roaches running into one of our bags). 'Coming back from a beutifull 15 days at Villa Soleil. I can not say enough praise for all the team at the villa that made our holiday worthwhile. Everything was spot on and the made us truly feel at home. Communication with Wolfgang as the owner was also great, nothing was too much a problem and arranged also a fantastic safari stay. We already miss the place and will keep it foundly in our hearts. Asante Sana!'

'Maisha Bora is really a small Paradiese.'

'The property wasn't very clean and had the personal effects of the home owner in piles on the various patios. There was a pool slide that didn't seem safe to use near the pool with wasps living in and the pool wasn't very clean. There was no drinking water provided. The fridge was not plugged in or cold. There was a dog on the property that was not listed in the description. I tried to receive pictures of the additional bedrooms from the host for months before hand but she never sent them and...

'A very clean, safe and comfortable property. Definitely more like an air B n B that has some hotel qualities. We enjoy cooking and the Amani had all the cookery we required. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only perplexing part was when we asked to extend our stay. The travel websites I checked said that there were vacancy's but when we inquired the front desk said no and it appeared to me that they didn't even check. Also no elevators so if don't like stairs this may not be for you....

'Overall a very enjoyable experience. Well fitted out apartments in a great location with easy beach access and convenient for local supermarket, bars and restaurants. My only criticism is the with some of the listing particulars - Breakfast is not included, toiletries only extend to bars of soap, and the bar was not open due to the fact they had 'residents' and wanted to avoid noise. Apart from this misrepresentation I would happily recommend these apartments.'

"Beetje gedateerd maar schoon hotel met goede airco en de vleugel waar onze kamer aan lag had helemaal geen last van geluiden. Ik ben rug patiënt en vond het een zeer acceptabel bed. Heerlijk strand, parasols met wat afstand ertussen waardoor privacy. Beperkt aantal goede bedden waardoor helaas wel iedereen voor het ontbijt al gin 'handdoekje leggen'. Daar moet je dan uiteindelijk wel aan meedoen want anders heb je een slecht bedje of geen bedje. "

Keep it simple

"Het is een zeer gastvrij hotel met uiterst vriendelijke en behulpzame staf op verschillende plekken. Ik vind de barbecue op het strand onzin. Al het meubilair moet worden verplaatst van het restaurant naar beneden op het strand. Verspilling van energie en het geploeg door het zand om bij het buffet te komen draagt ook niet bij aan een relaxed diner. Keep it simple."
