"The bathroom was full of hair from the previous guests. Also one of the days we were in the bathroom taking and about to take a shower when housekeeping came by (wihthout warning or having let us know when that would be); when we asked if they can come back to the room 15 min later they refused and we at least asked for some fresh towels! When we told the front desk the manager phoned us some hours later and was completely useless. On the bright side Gerasimos from the front desk was great - very good at his job! "

"Voor een familie kamer voor 4 verwacht je wel een beetje bewegingsruimte. Het tafeltje was eigenlijk teveel toen de slaapbank als bed dienst moest doen. 4 sterren is overrated. Misschien door alles wat ze aanbieden maar de kamer zeker niet. Simpel en schreeuwend duur. Ontbijt is gemiddeld. Ik heb heel vaak beters gehad en zeker geen ruim €400 per nacht waard."

"Hotel Aakenus has a good location , friendly and helpful staff . Rooms are basic but clean . Bathroom however is under average and urgently in need of renovation. With only 1,5 sqm including shower , toilet and sink it is impossible to keep the bathroom dry and properly shower. Breakfast is good , some fresh bread , eggs , yoghurt and fruit . For a short layover the hotel is acceptable but definitely overpriced. For these standards a budget of 100-130 euro per night would be fine but no 270-300 euro per night. I would give the hotel a 2,5 - 3 star overall . "
