'It was a nice property, when grill was mentioned I had assumed a regular size grill not the small round ones. We just ended up baking the meat instead, it would have taken to long on that size of a grill'

'I guess this could pass as a campsite. If you don’t mind being surrounded by trailers and storage vehicles on the side of a busy rural highway. If you are looking for an up north Mi camping experience you are hereby forwarned this is not the most scenic campsite! Not mad, just disappointed. But everyone’s gotta make a buck I guess. We decided to not stay the night and instead made the 6 hour trek home a day early. '

'My husband and I had a perfect Valentine’s getaway here! The host was so friendly and incredibly quick with informative replies. The location is unbeatable—just one street from the snowmobile trails and close to gas and town. We had zero issues parking our truck and 28ft trailer, which was a huge plus. The house was so cozy; after long chilly days on the snowmobile trails, the extra blankets and the surprise boot/glove dryers were total lifesavers! The kitchen was well-stocked (loved the air...

'We had an amazing stay at Hidden Haven with 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 1 dog! You can’t beat the location: we got to wake up to Lake Superior views, hear the waves crashing overnight, and could walk a few minutes up the road and be on the North Country Trail for trail runs and hiking. Everything was super clean and comfy and we had everything we needed to have a great few days. Looking forward to a repeat visit in the future!'

Modern Forest Escape Near Trails & Waterfalls – Prime UP Location

'Simple and clean, but the idea that this sleeps 4 is really pushing it. There was only 2 of us, so it was ok, but the “couch” is a cubicle type couch that opens in to what can roughly be called a double bed. There were no sheets for it, but the owner did respond right away and brought one flat sheet. He told us fitted sheets don’t fit the couch. It’s a decent place, but we stayed in 3 other places for much less that were much better. This is not worth what they charge a night.'

'This cozy little cabin in Grand Marais was clean, comfortable, and made for a great home base while exploring the area. We also appreciated that it allowed our two dogs, which made traveling much easier. We’d definitely stay here again. The only reasons we’re giving it 4 instead of 5 stars are that it’s about a 1.5-mile drive to the waterfront (rather than an easy walk), and the cabin uses well water that has a very orange color, so we’d recommend bringing your own drinking water.Overall, it was...

'The BEST place we’ve ever stayed!! Every room was spotless and so cozy! There was so much space for our family and so many things for kids to do. From board games, to the garage game room, to outside exploring. You won’t ever get bored here. Also, a quiet nice area that if you wanted to just relax the whole time, it’s perfect for that as well. 'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Everything was clean, cozy, and the owner clearly puts in a lot of effort and care into this place. There’s plenty of sleeping space and parking (we had one couple and two single adults, two cars), lots of indoor activities to do for the family (games, pingpong, etc), full kitchen, and the washer dryer was perfect for after our hike earlier that day in the rain. Do be mindful of how much hot water you use within a short period of time if you have a lot of...

'Property was nice. It was surface level clean. There was pretty severe obvious water damage in both bathrooms with visible mold. As a family that needs to be careful around mold, seeing this was disappointing. It was a comfortable house, dated, but comfortable. Lots of space for a family. Close to main attractions. One thing to note, there are close neighbors, so if you are looking for space/ seclusion, this house does have close neighbors you will hear their dogs/lawn mowers / leaf blowers....
