'We would have preferred to be closer to town but the drive wasn't too far. Place was spotless, kitchen well equipped. Setting very pretty on the water but our weather did not allow us to enjoy it fully. Lots of birds to watch, deer, even a fox walked by.'

Lake was super clean and great to swim in with fantastic views from the house and back yard. Only 2 improvement points and this would have been perfect: 1. Their was no firewood left! 'Had a lovely stay. Hot tub and sauna were a welcome relief on a couple of cold, snowy days. The view of the ocean through the snow was nice. The stairs are a little steep but manageable. Everything you need is there. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.'

'Beautiful quiet cabins with local trails to enjoy and explore. The sauna was fantastic and we loved the decor! So easy to access our room. Highly recommend!'

'My husband and I (plus our dog) enjoyed 5 nights at this beautiful spot. Had really good food options close by and it was a great spot to visit Halifax and Peggy’s Cove. Nice deck to sit out on and enjoy the area. Super peaceful. We had a lovely time.'

'Lots of amenities. Owners very helpful in recommending local restaurants. Enjoyed finding mussels and sea glass on the little beach as well as the antics of the "rock" beavers. The heated pool was a plus. Absolutely wonderful views of the bay.'

'We liked very much our stay at Wilson's Coastal Club! The cottage was better than the description, everything was well organised and explained. Bring looneys if you need to use the dryer! And there is also a little private beach and a trail on the other side of the street (part of the program Rails to Trails). We regretted having booked only one night!!'

'Phil made us feel right at home in his oasis of a place on St. Margaret’s Bay. The beds & pillows and location of rooms overlooking the ocean with peaceful wave sounds at night provided the best sleep we have had in a long time. The view and sunrise were absolutely stunning & we wished we could have stayed longer. This was the tranquil getaway much needed. Sights, sounds, smells all worth staying here. "Pas gerenoveerd met ruime badkamer met inloopdouche. Niet ver van centrum Lunenburg. Wel ongezellige felle verlichting en geen plaats voor grote koffer."

"Super huisje! Ik werd verrast door hoe ruim het uiteindelijk was, veel groter dan het vooraf leek. De keuken was volledig ingericht en de omgeving was heerlijk rustig en mooi. Rondom het huisje was volop natuur: ik heb hertjes, bevers en allerlei verschillende vogels gezien. En dat allemaal op korte afstand van het historische centrum van Lunenburg. Als ik weer in de buurt ben, kom ik hier zeker terug!"

Perfect vacation house

"9/10. Perfect vacation house. Great location. Fully stocked and even lots of supplies, food and drink leftover from other guests.
