'When i got to the address it took a while 15 mins to locate the cabin, a local lady helped me find the sun-bleached signs by the entrance, she told me go straight back on the road and there it was. I could tell by looking around it was not clean. I cleaned the outhouse and swept the floor in the cabin. Overall it was quite and comfortable . Needs a table and chairs .Jerry'

'My daughter attended rodeo school locally, and I was her support person. It was an extremely hot weekend, and so nice to come back to a clean, quiet, and cool place afterwards. Coincidentally, the place was western/rodeo themed decorated and that was fun. The bed and couch hide-a-bed are comfortable. We hope to stay here again, as it's convenient to rodeo school, and 131 as well as an ice cream place and beach area at the dam. '

'My husband and I stayed for three nights and it was wonderful! The room was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the host left plenty of towels! The location is only a few minutes or miles from several different places to eat, drink, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, or tube. '

'The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in...
