'Live music way too loud and wish it was smoke free. Hotel was great. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Wish the sports bar was still open. Not many food choices. Slots are tight. '

'A basic hotel with a beautiful view of a lake full of wildlife. The Waterbird does not offer a lot amenities but it is clean and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. It is near the Dunelands and a good stage to run into Chicago. Bring binoculars for the birds.'

'We were there 4 nights and never had our room serviced {no clean towels or trash emptied}. On Monday there was one person trying to service the breakfast area while answering the phone and manning the front desk. He was doing his best but needed some one else to help. Also the facility is showing signs of age and maintenance is not sufficient'

'They gave us a room that had a guest in it. We were 3 families checking in and 2 of us were given rooms with guests in them. The pool was freezing and did not have lights. We left and asked for a refund'

'On site restaurant and bar were convenient and very nice. Walkable to restaurants. Very close to Indiana Dunes. Good WiFi. Clean. Hot tub and pool missed the mark in my opinion. Pool was rather chilly and hot tub doesn’t have bubbles. Maintenance said the tub is a spa so doesn’t have to.'

'This place was fully modernized and very clean, and a very cozy atmosphere with a wooded area outback and a wonderful patio. Everything about this place is updated. The only negative is that there is no breakfast option although the clerk said that they planned on having a food truck option for breakfast in the near future.
