'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and there were a lot of amenities like a hairdryer, coffee, tea, and towels. The linen were also...

It's being refurbished and this does need to continue, as some parts are a bit 'tired', though still very clean. Main criticism would be the lighting - mis-matched and dull lighting in the bedrooms, would be an easy fix. Would definitely recommend though, given excellent value for money and great food.'
