'Not very attractive hotel: rooms are very, very small and very, very dark. Hotel needs big, big renovation. Hotel is in a very bad condition, but has a lot of potential. Location is excellent, at the fort. Walkabele distance to port and town center. Breakfast is simple. This is supposed to be the best hotel in Ancud ........... poor Ancud!'

'We loved our stay at this beautifully designed hotel. The views are amazing, the food and wine are delicious, and best of all, the owners Monica and Rodrigo, and the staff are so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Chiloé is definitely worth a visit, and the Estancia is in a fantastic location with lots to see and do. Even though we were only there for a couple of days, we still managed to visit Castro, hike in the national park, and take a boat trip to see the penguins at Punihuil on our way back...
