'My husband and I stayed in this home for our annual anniversary trip. We love hiking and brought our dog with us for some active relaxation. This home was one of the best we have stayed in. It had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. Conveniently located about 15 minutes from Front Royal where there was plenty to do; yet also steps away from a trail in the neighborhood, which intersects with the AT. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. '

'Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat. '

'This place is supercute! There is a very home-y feel to everything. They have multiple options of things to do on the property as well as give you lots of ideas of things to do in the area. Our family of 5 really enjoyed getting away from everyday life and being able to spend it in a home away from home. '

'Had a wonderful stay at the Walden. Found the cabin to be neat and clean. Check in process was simple with lock box and code provided just prior to arrival. The location feels secluded although there are neighbors you can’t see them and rarely hear them. The private spot on the river is perfect for fishing, floating and wading. Can’t wait to go back. '

'We really enjoyed our stay. Our visit was during some extremely hot weather and the house stayed nice and cool despite the heat outside. 'Very nice place. Cute cabin with lovely views. The fire pit are with a covered couch swing is great for evenings. If you are an early riser, there are nice sunrise views of the mountains. Enclosed property so you feel safe at night. We even dozed off one night on the swing looking at the stars. Hot tub was good and seemed well cared for. 'Honestly, I was most pumped about having a pool and a hot tub for our little getaway, but once we arrived I couldn't believe the cabin size, cleanliness, vibe, views, decor - it was just perfect. There were only two of us and our two doggos, so we didn't *need* that much space, but it was just beautiful and serene, equipped with anything you need, and felt on top of the world so to speak/literally lol. 'My partner and I had a great stay here. The place was exactly as described and very clean. We loved relaxing outside and taking in the beautiful scenery. The location was directly between the towns of Luray and Fort Royal so there was always a good spot to go for a bite to eat. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.'
