'hotel needs a total make over. It is old, worn out, beds smell, there was a cockroach in the bathroom, everyting was sticky and filthy'

'Our room was clean and tidy. Shame the main staircase was not vacuumed it looked rather shabby. Breakfast was good but didn’t like the plastic knives, forks and paper cups.'

'The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. It does not help the atmosphere but they only start around 8 am so it did not bother us much. At first we were put in an old room that had not been renovated yet. This room really did not meet the standards for the amount of money they ask for it. Wallpaper letting go of the walls, airconditioning that would not turn off, dirty carpets. After we requested a room change we spend a second night in a renovated room that was great. 'This our second stay and there will be more. The staff are polite, helpful and knowledgeable. The food is great and the location ideal for exploring. Highly recommend this place.'

'Did not know that there were so many stairs to get to and from the bachelor apt., However Hosts were there at the time we arrived to check on things and graciously helped us up the stairs with our bags ! We really appreciated their friendliness and kindness after a long day . The oatmeal cookies that were left for us as a special treat were fantastic and waking up to a beautiful view with Canada geese on the lawn by the lake was amazing!'
