'We were welcomed on arrival by very attentive but not in your face staff and shown our wonderfully quirky room. Everything was spotlessly clean and our hosts had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Each room is decorated differently and artistically has ‘wow’ factor. As for the food……… absolutely delicious, lots of interesting flavours, and beautifully presented and hot!! 'Fantastic, our room was lovely and spacious, we stayed a couple of nights and breakfast was delicious. We also had an evening meal in the 1630 bar which was perfect for dining with our dog. A lovely atmosphere and great food. The staff are all very welcoming, helpful and friendly and we’ll look forward to staying again. '

'We stayed at the water Rat for a family wedding, we had a wonderful 2 nights stay, the staff were very friendly and very helpful, the room was excellent and had a gorgeous meal on our first nights stay, would definitely have a return visit if we were in that area.'
