'The River House at Claremont was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. I am a huge Gone With the Wind fan and this property brought you back to the South prior to the Civil War all we needed were ball gowns to make it really authentic. The house was well appointed with the necessaries (toilet paper, tissues, and toiltetries). In addition the kitchen pantry had salt, pepper, flour and other staples. The interior of the house is amazing with much of the furniture handmade by the owner...

'We had a great time. Everything was just as it was described. We loved the water and had a great time on the kayaks and paddleboard. Home is so close to the ferry to get over to Jamestown colony and Williamsburg. We loved exploring the area. Close enough to all the hot spots-Newport News, Norfolk and Virginia Beach (about an hour away).AC and Linda were quick to reply to questions we asked.We would love to stay here again!'

'We had a lovely stay in Deena’s cottage. The cottage was super convenient to the car ferry, and we took many fun trips into Williamsburg and Jamestown with the kids. We enjoyed the private slice of beach right outside the cottage and kayaking with the kids in the river. 'We set out looking for a large house close to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown that would house our group of 9 family style. This house fit our needs and was more than comfortable. It’s near all the major tourist stops (I highly recommend every stop in the Historic Triangle). Sadly the pool was not holding water well so it was unable to be used by our youngest kids - it’s not really large enough for the whole family and seemed to have been out of commission for a bit. 'We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. The grounds were quiet and seemed very safe - we did hear the trains a few times, but with a white-noise speaker and some soft earplugs, it didn't bother us or the dogs at all. If...

'Property manager canceled my stay with no notice. I had already driven a great distance to be there. Took several days for them to issue the refund despite the fact that they canceled the reservation same day. Actually they told me I had to cancel the reservation on my end. I assume this was so they would still get the money from the reservation, but I called to cancel it and explain the situation. Long story short don’t book here.'

'We hadn’t stayed in an RV before, so this was a unique experience for us. Very clean & cozy accommodations and located close to many tourist attractions in the surrounding area. Easy parking out front was helpful, and the detailed & friendly communication with the host was also appreciated.'

"Voordeel van dit hotel is dat het erg dichtbij pretpark Busch Gardens Williamsburg ligt. De kamer was ruim en de bedden lagen prima. Echter zat er wel een grote gele vlek in het beddengoed en een oude bloedvlek. Medewerkers waren ook niet allemaal even vriendelijk."

"Hotel op een relatief rustige plek, maar toch overal goed dichtbij. Ruime parkeergelegenheid, onze kamer op de bovenste was ruim, verzorgd, en schoon. Lijkt er sterk op dat het hotel recentelijk gerenoveerd is. Fijn verblijf gehad."
