'The property has a lot offer in summer. We went during winter. Rooms are falling apart, dirty and more. Staff wasn't friendly. There no breakfast included as advertised. During summer yes. An updated web site would have been nice. I would have stayed at another one. Price for my stay was rediculous seeing as it was regular rate for summer. Never again. We found nicer places for less after so next time will stay somewhere else that will have breakfast included no matter the season'

'The location of this spot of very unique! Our teen boys really enjoyed kayaking the bay and caught lots of fish close to the house. We enjoyed the privacy and quietness of the area. I do wish I knew ahead of time that you need to bring your own water for cooking. There is water at the bathhouse and camper but both are lake water. We had to run into town to get water for cooking so that we didn’t use all of our drinking water and it was a bit inconvenient not knowing ahead.The outside shower did...

'The room was really clean however there was a lack of hot water for a shower at night and in the morning and bugs in the hot tub when we tried to use it at night other than that it was an excellent getaway nice warm fireplace nice shower and being downtown near restraints museums and the waterfront made everything within walking distance overall I would gladly go back again probably will in the near future'

'This a sadly neglected gorgeous old building. It felt like staying at someone's grandma's house. Dust, cobwebs, generally dirty, previous guest's food crumbs on the kitchen floor, dispensers in the shower completely empty, no milk and cream in the fridge as advertised. Passive aggressive garish signage about the "rules" all over the room and property. Way overpriced. Only redeeming quality is location. '

Jen communicated well, giving all the needed instructions about entry and free parking etc. The room and all areas of the property were well appointed, very clean and had obvious attention to detail. This place is off the charts in character. I had coffee in the turret and looked out to see the St Lawrence River. The stairs require some attention by anyone who climbs them. If was a bit more expensive than other options but well worth the extra. '

'This was hands down the coolest place we have ever stayed! A converted primary school in to a bed and breakfast. The rooms are MASSIVE! The beds were heavenly. Every detail was thought through. The hosts were welcoming and so knowledgeable about the area’s history. Honestly wish we could have stayed longer. If you are in the area this is a must stay. So different from anything else. Can’t recommend enough! '
