'A no-frills hotel which is absolutely wonderful. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and plenty of hot water in the shower. Everything was clean which is very important. Upgrades will be done per the front desk. Breakfast is no longer being served but there are plenty of places in neighboring towns for food. There is plenty of parking, vending machines for snacks and amazing sunset views.'

'This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. 'My two adult children and I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful home! Everything was clean, and it was very relaxing staying here. The hosts had great communication, and were very friendly. If you are considering this home, I would recommend it, but be aware that the stairs to the second floor are very steep, the bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. It may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. But we loved this beautiful, historic home, and would gladly stay here...
