'The rooms were fresh and clean. We had a double room. Has suffice amenities ie small fridge for water or milk to make a tea or coffee. Bathroom was clean but the shower needs to be made a little bigger or put hooks in the spare area so u can hang clothes after the pool or a line yo hang togs after a swim or something like that. Possibly look at a swim suit spinner so not much water tracks through the hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant and that was nice enough. Bar guy was stern not very...

'Het us een oud hotel maar het bed was prima. In de aangrenzende bar is savonds live muziek en dat hoor je, maar ik had er niet al te veel last van. De locatie kan onhandig zijn als je bijv wilt gaan duiken op de Poor Knights want daar ligt t ver vanaf. ( je wordt dan wel opgehaald maar dat weer $40 .'

'We had a wonderful stay at Comfort Flames! We stayed for 10 days while visiting family in Whangarei and it was the perfect oasis. The convenience of the room service was unmatched, especially as I am pregnant and have to eat first thing in the morning to not get sick. Raewyn was so hospitable and kind, as were the rest of the staff. The view from our room was beautiful and the aircon made it so comfortable at all times of day. We will definitely stay here in the future and would highly recommend...

'Room 1 is a bit old, it could be more attractive if renewed the bathroom, no ventilation system. However the staff is very kind and helpful, that is why we gave 5 stars '
