Vis, boot en zwemmen! 3 mijl ten zuiden van Bethel

Dit 5 slaapkamer huis werd in 2000 gebouwd. De binnenkant is schoon, ruim en comfortabel. De keuken is erg groot met 2 tafels en een bar met plaats voor 4 personen.

Er zijn 36 acres van bezit te zwerven, met 3200 voet water voorgevel. Er is vegetatie (bomen en struiken bosbessen) tot aan de waterkant, met een mooie havengebied. Je moet de straat oversteken om bij het havengebied te komen. Achter het huis, zijn er een aantal ruige paden en logging wegen rond op zwerven. De kappen wegen werden voor het laatst gebruikt tijdens de winter van 2015, dus er moet een vrij open sneeuwschoenwandelen en XC-skiën paden direct op het terrein. De White Mountain National Forest is net naar het zuiden.

A Great Maine Getaway

We booked this property to have a getaway weekend with friends. There was plenty of beds and space! Everything inside was clean and comfortable. Jim was great at answering any questions that came up.Finally we wanted a place on the water, all we had to do was walk across the street!Would absolutely book again!

Fantastic winter stay on Songo pond

Jim's house was wonderful for our weekend ski trip. We had about 10 people staying in the house and we were all able to sleep comfortably, with lots of extra room. The kitchen was large and perfect for cooking for a large number of people. The hottub was also great after a long day on the ski slopes. There were lots of towels and linens available. The house is about 15 minutes away from both Sunday River and Mount Abram and about 8 minutes from Bethel. It's a great location and Jim was a great host. I highly recommend it!

Perfect for Groups!

My friends and nephews decided to book a last minute ski trip and Jim's accommodations opened up right in time for us. It was perfect for our needs. Nice big foyer to take gear off prior to entering the house, big kitchen table for us to all eat together, plenty of lounging space for us to play games, and very comfortable bedding. We also booked this for the jacuzzi, but never got to use it because we were so beat up from the mountain, we got lazy, but it is a huge plus to have that available. This house can also accommodate pets which was a huge requirement. The house is far enough away from the main road and provides a safe space for the pups to run around. Lastly, Jim is very communicative and really helped ensure the check-in process went smoothly. The periodic check-ins throughout the stay were appreciative. Overall, a great host and a great stay here, and would book again. Highly recommend!

Awesome Spot for Big Group

We had a bachelor party and the location and house could not have been more perfect. Plenty of beds (slept 13 guys very comfortably), the pond was right across the street and there was plenty of room to grill and hang out outside. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore!

Amazing place

Had a bachelor party for my friend and 10 others and this property was perfect. Clean, well stocked, and a 15 second walk from a great spot on the pond. The hot tub was always in top shape and was great for relaxing after a day in the pond. Would stay again if I’m ever in the area.

Graduation Get Away

The outdoor space is amazing with the fire pit and hot tub! The kitchen gave us plenty of space for sharing meals and playing games. We splashed and floated in the pond. This place provided plenty of hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, towels(bath&beach), toilet paper and paper towels. The in house laundry was a major plus with the pond right there! Overall we were very happy with our stay!

Great stay

Stayed here for a long weekend at Sunday River. House was great, close to everything, bedrooms are larger than photos make it seem, tons of room for all of us and our ski gear. Great communication as well. Would def come back!

Perfect spot for a big group

We stayed here for my buddy’s bachelor party weekend. We had a big group of guys, so having 10 beds was great. The location is great, just a 5 minute ride into downtown Bethel. Nice pond directly across the street from the house too! The communication with the owner, Jim, was excellent and his caretaker lives in another house on the property, but you didn’t even know he was there. Overall great experience, will definitely book this house again in the future.

Relaxing Vacation

Our favorite part of this VRBO is it easily accommodates large groups and the pond access. I grew up vacationing on this pond and it never disappoints. Jim is quick to respond to any questions and he has done some nice updates with appliances and internet. We'll be back I'm sure.

A nice location and homey stay

I would like to say first that the owner was incredibly responsive and helpful, even giving us a local garage to take care of an repair need for one of our vehicles. Plenty of space for everyone in the house. Hot tub was pristine. The dock on the pond sunk a bit, but didn't impede usage. just a gorgeous view on the pond. Close to markets, stores, and restaurants. A good experience for our family staying here.

Close to Sunday river !

This home is close to Sunday river. It took 15 mins. It was has a large kitchen area which is great for my group of 10 people. Hot tub was nice and someone cleaned it every morning. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, cutlery. Only thing it needs more are bigger spoons for soup. Thank you Jim !

Excellent cozy stay for a ski weekend

This was a great find at Sunday River to enjoy a ski weekend with friends. All the basics and then some are provided and the short drive to Sunday River was a big plus. Excellent host, friendly and responsive.

the frendly place

I don't write many reviews but this time I can't skip writing it. We rent a cottage from Jim Darden recently and I'm impressed with his hospitality, professionalism, and well-maintained beautiful property on the lake. We really enjoyed the time spent there, but back in Canada, my little daughter found she is missing her teddy bear. But thanks to Jim " Mimi" the little bear is on its way back home. Thanks Jim definitely will be back
