Het Amos Coggin River House ligt in het bos langs de oevers van de Androscoggin-rivier, een plek die zowel ontspanning als avontuur inspireert met elk voorbijgaand seizoen. . .
Gelegen op een eersteklas locatie aan de rivier binnen de gemeenschap van Jordan Woods, biedt het Amos Coggin River House mijlen van schilderachtige paden direct vanaf onze deur via het IT-systeem en Mahoosuc Land Trust. Dit biedt onze gasten de mogelijkheid om het bos en de rivier te voet of per fiets te verkennen in de warmere maanden of met sneeuwscooter, xc ski's, sneeuwschoenen OF fietsen met dikke banden de hele winter lang! We zijn minder dan 15 minuten verwijderd van wereldklasse skiën in Sunday River, en binnen tien minuten van Bethel 'Norman Rockwell - zoals' Main Street voor lekker eten, unieke winkels en seizoensgebonden shows en beurzen. Je vindt er ook supermarkten en bouwmarkten, banken, een kleine bioscoop en een gloednieuwe bowlingbaan en bar.
We zijn gelegen aan de oevers van de rivier, dus een reis hier zou niet compleet zijn zonder een peddel langs de Androscoggin via kajak of kano in de lente- en zomermaanden. Een pendeldienst is tegen een kleine vergoeding beschikbaar via het Bethel Adventure Centre voor excursies van 2 uur tot de hele dag. . We kunnen ook informatie verstrekken voor het opzetten van een L.L. Bonenavonturenpakket voor meer informatie over watersporten en boogschieten op onze locatie.
Het herfstseizoen is een absoluut paradijs, omdat er geen mooiere plek is om te gluren met veel in kaart gebrachte drives in en rond Bethel en de westelijke bergen van Maine tot Rangeley. Het Oxford Casino is minder dan een uur rijden voor het nachtleven en entertainment, en North Conway, NH, is ook minder dan een uur voor het beste van outlet shopping en wat gebladerte touring langs de weg. Het beste van beide werelden!
Met zoveel te zien en te doen vanuit onze prachtige omgeving, is het een wonder dat ons staatsmotto is, Maine. . . zoals het leven zou moeten zijn?

Birthday weekend

Property was extremely clean, great for pets and great for groups of 6-10 people. Plenty of space and ample cooking supplies. Would highly recommend and definitely plan on checking in for availability in the future. Gina was great, gave good advice for surrounding areas and responded quickly to any questions.

House was roomy, clean & gorgeous. Plenty of space for socializing or taking some alone time. Had every amenity we could want including a hot tub. Easy ride to Sunday River for great skiing too.

Great vacation home

House was exactly as advertised. Plenty of space, very clean, great kitchen with newer appliances and a well decorated main living area. The lower level was a big hit with our group with a large entertainment area and ping pong table. Hot tub was also great after a long day of skiing or hiking. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing weekend at this house. The house is absolutely spotless, probably the cleanest rental house I have ever seen, especially for being dog friendly! The house is fully stocked and has a beautiful comfortable lay out. It’s perfectly situated for the mountain and town. The hot tub was amazing. Would 10/10 recommend to a friend and come back!

Wonderful Ski House

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was as advertised. Only issue we had was not understanding how to use the DISH satellite TV. Maybe put some instructions on the coffee table for those of us who are used to cable. Otherwise, everything was great.

Wonderful stay

My family had a wonderful stay. Gina has a beautiful house in a secluded location. It was clean, spacious, and private. The hot tub was perfectly maintained, the crate for our dog was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the trails outback were beautiful. We had a great stay. Thank you!

Beautiful Bethel Cabin

Beautiful cabin, in quiet wooded neighborhood, with tons of walking/biking trails, and beautiful views. My family enjoyed all of the space and comforts provided at this property. The hot tub was a great bonus! 5 stars will definitely be booking again!

Fabulous Foliage getaway

We stayed at this home over Columbus Day weekend and had a great vacation. The home felt new and was immaculately clean. The furnishings, artwork, etc. were spot on and added to the ambiance. We loved sitting around the gas fireplace in the evenings and going for walks/hikes in the local woods in the mornings. The river is about a 3 minute walk away with a fairly steep hill to get down into the water. The hot tub was clean and I probably used it 10 times over a 3 day period. We didn’t use the basement but it would be great for kids to watch movies, play ping pong, etc. The community is very private and we didn’t notice any other homes/people while in the cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed. The internet worked great and I was able to do some short video calls. The TVs were smart TVs and you could Log in to your own Prime, Disney, Netflix, etc. Satellite TV was also available to watch some football games. The firepit outside looked great even though we didn’t have time to use it. There’s also a large dog run in the backwoods if you have a larger fury friend. Bethel was a quick 10 minute drive for any needs. Mt. Washington Auto Route was only about 30 minutes away which made for a great day trip. We usually visit the west side of the White Mountains this time of year and it was great to stay on the East side this year enjoying both Maine and NH. Absolutely loved this home!!! Thank you for keeping it in such tip top shape!

Great space for a family ski trip

My family of 8 people stayed here for our yearly ski trip at Sunday River. The location was great at the end of a beautiful, quiet dead end street, within 20 min to the mountain. The space was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Over it was a great experience!

Awesome Ski Week!!

We were a group of 7 (2 families) and had an amazing week! The house was exactly as listed with all the amenities needed. The house and property were private, inviting and very relaxing. We enjoyed our days at Sunday River and evenings relaxing in the hut tub or in front of the fire. Gina was super quick to respond with any questions. We will definitely be back!

Great Ski house for skiing at Sunday River

We have returned 3 times to this house because its a beautiful house with all of the amenities you can think of. Gina always responds quickly to any communications. The house, is clean, well stocked and provides lots of entertainment like walks in the woods, hot tub and ping pong. The kitchen is well stocked and big enough to enjoy a family dinner. We will definitely be back again!

Best VRBO ever!

Property was immaculate. Great thought to detail. Everything you could ever need was at the house- great instructions re: arrival and checking in and expectationsfor departure. Gina was a great host with very fast response times with any questions or concerns. The house was beautifully decorated to match the season. Cozy blankets for the couch, extra pillows, anything you could possibly need in the kitchen.... every room was well thought out. This is the best VRBO we've ever stayed at. Perfect location- quiet and easy access to Sunday river. We'll definitely be back again!

Holidays in Maine

This is a lovely property. It is very close to Sunday River and made skiing for a half day and full day easy. The first floor is so inviting and everything you need for family time and an easy lay out for cooking and watching the games. The downstairs is perfect for teens, the ping pong table is perfect. The walk to the river is easy even in snow and our dog had a ball running on the trail.

Family Weekend

This was our first visit to Bethel, Maine. Exploring the area and the outdoors was great fun! But, having this amazing home to spend time together could not be beat. This home is beautiful and has all the amenities you could ask for. Gina was a very gracious host and even left a bottle of wine from a local winery for us to enjoy.

Beautiful Stay

This house was situated at the end of a cut de sac with a big private lot, it was the perfect setting. Walking inside we were so pleased with what we saw. The furniture and decor were beautiful, comfortable and it was so homey! And there were plenty of cozy linens and bath towels. We enjoyed our evenings cooking on the grill and sitting on the huge deck, nights around the fire pit. The kids loved the basement oasis and it was a great place to cool off after the hot days on the river. The river access was a little steep but that didn't bother anyone. There is so much to do in the area, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, we never sat still! Frenchman's Hole and Step Falls were a couple of our favorites, and Screw Auger Falls is a must see. We also used the kayaks Gina has on the property and we did a float/kayak trip down the river. Gina was an absolute joy to work with. Answered any questions I had within minutes of sending them and I even had a few phone calls with her to get all the scoop about the area. She was so helpful and gave us so many fun ideas/adventures. I never thought I'd go on a mountain vacation, being I love the beach, but this was one of the best vacations we've had.

A Home Away from Home

This home is simply stunning. The decor and amenities (kitchen supplies, quality towels, etc) made this rental feel like a home away from home. Our 2 dogs acclimated very easily; fenced area and dog crates helped with that as well. It was also great to be in Maine in what is probably considered the off season. Hiking was amazing (dogs loved our hikes) and with fewer tourists around, it was great to meet more locals. Plenty of restaurants open and shopping in and around the area, too. Gina was a great hostess and checked in via message through VRBO to see if all was well for us. Amazing experience!

Great stay for a Sunday River Ski Trip

The property was great for our family of 4 to spend a few days together on the slopes. There was plenty of comfortable hangout space, a well stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. We enjoyed the festive lighting in the house and using the outdoor hot tub after our days on the slopes. The house is tucked away quietly in the woods and felt very serene. One suggested addition would be a Bluetooth speaker in the living room and/or basement area. An FYI is that the mudroom is located off the basement and at the bottom of a flight of stairs. Not a big issue but the driveway was very icy during our stay. But this is not a complaint, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property.

Spacious, Clean, and New House Close to Sunday River

We loved our stay in this house! It was refreshing to rent a new house with none of the challenges that come with older homes. We made great use of the ping pong table in the basement and the hot tub. It was a quick 15-minute drive to Sunday River. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out.

Perfect Sunday River House!

We enjoyed our stay for the 2nd year. This really is the perfect Sunday River house. The house is gorgeous and has everything we need. The location is a short drive to Sunday River. Gina, the owner, is very responsive. I would recommend this house to anyone who is planning a trip to the Sunday River area.
