Welcome to our charming oceanfront retreat, where time slows down and memories are made. Perched directly on the pristine rocky Maine coastline, this family home, the main core of which was originally a Victorian New England carriage barn with characteristic cupola on top, offers breath-taking ocean views from almost every room. Guests describe the extremely spacious high-ceilinged living room, with dining table for ten under a picture window overlooking nothing but rocks and ocean, as feeling like you aboard a ship. While the house carries a sense of history and nostalgia, it exudes warmth and comfort that makes you feel right at home. Four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two separate living areas and vast outside decks, provide gracious accommodation for up to eight guests.
Step inside to find cozy, well-loved interiors that echo the laughter and stories of generations past. The décor radiates a timeless charm, with vintage touches that add character and a sense of place. A spacious kitchen with commercial stove is fully-equipped for cooking up a storm, should that be your passion. If your interest is more in the direction of dining out, there are dozens of choices within a short drive to suit every palate and budget. Uber is available in the area, as are local taxi services.
Imagine waking up to the sound of waves gently breaking against the rocky shore, and enjoying your morning coffee on the spacious decks which surround the house on three sides, as you watch the sun rise over the Atlantic. The Rachel Carson Nature Reserve is a ten minute walk away – a wonderful place for birdwatching and exploring the rocky shores.
