'My husband, me and pups came to Alpine/Big Bend Region for a Birthday Trip. We chose this property as they allowed pets, had a fenced in yard and had room to spread out. House was very spacious, clean and comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, there are prickers in the backyard (not bad during the time we were there). There are dogs at the homes on either side of the house and in the neighborhood. We (and our dogs) also heard dogs barking early in the morning (1 am) plus the train coming...

'We had a wonderful stay at Walter’s casita. Walter is an exceptional host and answered any questions we had lightning fast! The casita is very clean and comfortable. We loved relaxing in the yard and we loved that it was so dog friendly ! If we are ever back in the area we would visit again !'

'This is an nice house and it could be much better with some better maintenance and hosting efforts. Three BR upstairs with two Bathrooms there. So the bad news. Cleaning going on delayed or check in. Checked in to a chirping smoke detector. Neighbor fix it guy tried to fix it but it beeped all night and the maintenance phone guy said they could not come that day. I ended up getting on the kitchen counter and removed it. Several lights out so not enough light to read in Master'

'I had a last minute trip on a budget. I was looking for someplace cheap. Well, this place is not cheap. Affordable? Yes, but not cheap. I was very impressed with what I got for the price. The room was functional, comfortable, roomy, and above all it was CLEAN! The towels were soft and smelled clean, the sheets smelled clean, everything was how it should be. This is not a romantic weekend kind of place, but if you need a clean comfortable room for a reasonable price, this is perfect. '
