Most points of interest in the city are within walking distance, but there are also a number of bus routes leaving from the road outside the property. Birmingham New Street Train station is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 10-15 minute walk.

The hallways of the building were filthy, with graffiti and very dirty floors/walls/doors. The inside of the apartment was not much better. The bathroom and kitchen were 'generally clean' however, the doors were covered in dirty hand prints, mould in the bathroom, peeling paint and layers of dirt on all the skirting boards. carpets and walls were extremely dirty also. The water was only luke warm, the mattress was so bad that you rolled to one side when lying in it and the towels were grey .....the apartment is for 4 people but only 3 glasses and one broken wine glass were provided. These are not business apartments. These are not as advertised. the pictures do NOT reflect the state of the apartment of the building. The Company are not interested in helping. We only could stay one night in this filth, instead of 5. Offered no refund as apparently.... 'cleanliness is subjective' and the issues were 'minor maintenance issues' .... if they are so minor, why were they not fixed before arrival ?

The photos in the listing are probably from when this was a show apartment when the building was first constructed. Same furniture and stuff now, but the place is badly, badly, badly worn. Blinds in each room that are either broken or don't fit the window space, meaning light floods in at night (and you may have limited privacy since this flat is on the ground floor). Two bathrooms but both in need of a total renovation already, and in one the toilet seat was broken - literally broken off the toilet. The property manager who met us (eventually) at the apartment presumably did a walk round before letting us in, but somehow failed to spot this major damage (and the issue with the blinds). We told him before he left the premises and he promised to send "the maintenance guy" the next day. Well, no such guy actually exists, and so began an endless round of communication with - who? he was the property manager, but the property management was done by someone else? Long story short, the toilet was not fixed by the time we left (ten days). Appalling communication, appalling state of the property (fridge stinks, previous renters have been smoking, patio is plain dirty, the apartment building itself is in very bad shape already). Also, an important lesson about VRBO - they really don't want to help you at all. After complaining I was passed on to their "special assistance" team who decided there was nothing they could (or would) do even before they spoke with me.
