Muir Lodge - 10 mijl van Blowing Rock met Hot Tub, 3 Master Suites & diervriendelijke!

Mooie Muir Lodge ligt 6 mijl buiten Blowing Rock en in de buurt van de Blue Ridge Parkway. Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht op de Berg van de Grootvader van zowel boven- en benedendek. U zult genieten van de ongelooflijke post en bundel architectuur van deze berg huis en het gevoel van modeketens leven.

Wanneer u Muir Lodge op de begane grond komt u in kunt bewegen door de toetreding tot de beneden den met een zithoek en een 46 "flatscreen HD kabel-tv met een Bose geluidsinstallatie en een dvd-speler. Grenzend aan de beneden den is het benedendek en Jacuzzi Hot Tub. Gelegen aan beide zijden van de kuil zijn de slaapkamers beneden. Een daarvan is een kingsize bed suite met een eigen complete badkamer en de andere heeft een queen bed met een complete badkamer in de hal. Beide slaapkamers hebben directe toegang tot het benedendek.

Op de top van de trap is de prachtige open grote kamer met een bovenverdieping woonkamer, eetkamer en keuken. In deze grote kamer kunt u volop genieten van de post en beam structuur van het huis en de blootgestelde houtnerf plafond. De woonkamer heeft een grote flatscreen HDTV, DVD-speler, lederen bank (pull out koningin slaper) en een love seat en vrijstaande houtkachel. De open keuken is voorzien van roestvrijstalen apparatuur, waaronder een Keurig, granieten werkbladen en een eilandbar met stoelen.

Het bovenste dek grenst aan de woon-en eetkamers met directe toegang en heeft een zithoek om Grandfather Mountain uitzicht te genieten en adem in die schone berglucht. Er is een grote slaapkamer suite boven met een kingsize bed en het bovenste dek toegang. Er is ook een half bad grenzend aan de keuken en woonkamer boven en dubbele slaapbank in de woonkamer.

Muir Lodge zit op een bijna vlakke veel met verharde drive en parkeerplaats. Gelegen op slechts 6 mijl naar Blowing Rock, 12 mijl naar Grandfather Mountain en ongeveer een mijl naar de prachtige Blue Ridge Parkway Muir Lodge zal niet teleurstellen gasten op zoek naar een prachtige bergervaring.

Grotere groepen die op zoek zijn naar extra accommodaties in de buurt van Muir Lodge worden aangemoedigd Arden Forest Lodge te overwegen, op loopafstand. Agape Cove is alleen beschikbaar voor wekelijkse verhuur en ligt ook in de buurt.

We did a week at the Muir Lodge and overall were able to enjoy our break despite some challenging circumstances. The positives of this location is that it is very close to many activities as well as shopping centers making it easy to keep the family entertained. The cabin is private and is well equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils, board games, movies and towels. There's a lovely fire pit and a bundle of complimentary wood is provided to start your vacation. Now for the negatives, the property is presented as three master bedroom with bathrooms that include tubs and showers this was a selling point for our family, two of the bathrooms did not have functioning tubs as water was turned off to them. It appears work was being done on an upstairs area and this was not new but not mentioned in the listing. The other issue is the hot tub, this is an amenity many ppl book for and spend extra money on however on our arrival it was not able to be enjoyed due to the smell and discoloration of water. The management team did send a tech out on our third day there( it was a holiday weekend) and he had to empty the tub and refill it in order for it to be used. The management team did try to address issues and Amy was lovely however we only enjoyed the hot tub for 3 out of 7 days. Per contract refunds don't occur even though we did not get the amenities we paid for, they did refund us under 10%. We loved our vaca but may not book with this organization again due to their policies

Awesome House and Stunning View

The house was wonderful for a extended weekend away with my daughter husband and sister in law and her husband. The hot tub is clean, spacious, amazing! My favorite part of the whole house might be the gliding chairs in the upper deck. We hopped in to the blue ridge parkway SO easily! Such a perfect location to explore Boone and Blowing Rock! Can’t miss spots: Roscoe Gem Mining Grandfather MTn Winery Linville Falls We absolutely loved our stay here and already talked about coming back again!

Great Getaway House

We had a wonderful time getting together in this house. It was perfect for three adult couples. The three bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, the kitchen well equipped and views from the upper deck were lovely, especially at sunset. We did not use the fire pit or hot tub but it was nice to know they were there. It was an easy drive into Blowing Rock and to hikes locations. We would definitely rent again. Our only problem was in our rush to get out in the morning, we all seemed to have left something - hope they are good about returning items.

Lovely house and great location

Between Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain and conveniently located on a road that is yards from the parkway and only a few hundred yard from 221. The house was wonderful. The decks were a hit for the view and the chairs. Used the hot tub and the firepit. Would definitely book again in the future.

Great location to get to many hiking opportunities between Blowing Rock and Linville. Very easy access to Blue Ridge Parkway. The porches and view from them to the mountains was our favorite spot to relax. House had all the amenities you need.

Best Mountain Vacation

We had a great time at Muir Glen and did not want to leave. The house was clean, well decorated and felt homey. We enjoyed the beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain from the decks and the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway could not be beat especially for my husband who loves to rode bike on the parkway! Staying at Muir Glen was our family's best mountain getaway and we would definitely consider staying at the home again!

Easy to follow directions, well communicated ahead of time, led to a wonderful little getaway for our family. Everything was clean and the house was nicely furnished and well taken care of. It fit our family of 6 perfectly, and we would love to stay again in the future.

This was a great place to stay. The 3 master bedrooms was really helpful since there were two family's with kids. The location was beautiful and close to a lot of things. We spent a lot of time out on the back porch with the beautiful view!

Excellent spot for a mountain getaway

We spent 5 days at Muir Lodge with another couple and 3 kids ranging from 8-13. What a lovely property! My favorite part was how well the kitchen was stocked with cookware, glassware, Kuerig, toaster oven, etc. Highly recommend!

Great family vacation!

Loved our stay at the Muir Lodge. The house is a great size so everyone is comfortable and the kitchen well stocked to make wonderful meals. Our only let down was the backyard, as it appeared to have a fire pit under construction. There was construction materials left out during our stay plastic tubing, tools and misplaced large stones. All of this in my opinion was not pleasant to look out over on deck and also unsafe. We were disappointed that the outside fire pit was also not usable. For the price we paid per night this should have been cleaned up prior to our check in. Overall a great place to stay in a wonderful location but needs some TLC. Also, the thermostat display is broken and we were unable to determine the temperature of the home the entire visit, which the owner did try to fix remotely however this was an issue for the trip as well. Again for the top rate we paid for this holiday week these concerns should have been fixed prior to check in.

Wasn’t what we expected from pictures and description

Our vacation in the mountains was great. Blowing Rock downtown is quaint and fun, rafting was a blast and the Boone Fork Loop hiking was amazing. However, we were not impressed with this property/stay, and I’m normally very forgiving. First, it says it sleeps up to 9 people, and my wife and I, with our 5 kids had a hard time sleeping 7. The pull out couch was horrible and had to put it on the ground, and it still was not comfortable for my wife while I slept on the couch to get some kind of sleep. The house was hot and I could not find the thermostat to save my life, so I slept with the deck doors open, and got scarred awake by a bear attacking the trash can one night. The bathrooms were very nice, but the shower walls had mold all in the grout. The hot tub great for the kids but it was over chlorinated. You get a very limited view of the mountains, as it was not high up at all. And in order to watch TV, you have to be an AV expert to understand the three remotes to make the system work. The place has potential, but the pictures need updating, they should update the description so they don’t oversell the property, and then they need to address all these concerns so the next family can enjoy their stay. I’m sorry for the poor review, but it’s hard for me to give a great rating when it just wasn’t great.

Perfect Vacation

We recently came back from our stay at Muir Lodge and it far exceeded my expectations! The house was very comfortable and very roomy. Each bedroom had a large master bathroom. There was a living area in the lower level which we never used as well as the very comfortable living area on the upper level. The deck overlooking Grandfather Mountain was perfect, especially for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The location of the home was perfect as well -- just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and just a few minutes to Downtown Blowing Rock, Moses Cone Park or an easy drive to the town of Boone. We were a family of 5 adults (4 millenials) and everyone had a great time. I hope we will be back in the not too distant future!!

We loved staying in Muir Lodge. It was central to Boone, Blowing Rock, Price Lake, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The view was perfect. The house accommodated 6 adults very comfortably and the house was well stocked with all items you might need. We will be back.

Great Stay!

We loved staying a Muir Lodge o we the weekend with our family. Everything was well equipped. They even had a baby gate which was perfect because we had one 10 month old with us. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed the hot tub and the porches. The three bedrooms were spacious and each one featured a walk in shower and garden tub. Truly a beautiful house. However we found when we arrived that the place had not be adaquetly vaccumed upon our arrival and we have to vaccinate the entire house. We also found that the grill was out of propane or wouldn’t work. This forced us to cook our steaks on the stove to which we found the air vent on the stove top did not work, so the house was a little smoky for a few minutes. We also found the can opener did not work. Little things like this can be a pain if your 25 mins from the grocery store. Everything else was wonderful and we loved it!
